We have a great legacy of upbringing a bunch of high-spirited and brightest minds who are keen to work towards advancing the technology for humanity, thus serving the very purpose of IEEE. In Kochi hub we 'aspire to inspire those young minds to spark against all the odds!!'
KHM offers a great platform for the ones whose quest to be in pace with the advancing technology is always high and with that an opportunity to interact with our 36 SBs across 5 zones.
To throw light to this very quote of M.K Gandhi, IEEE Kochi hub in association with Paytm build for India, Kerala Suchitwa mission and Kerala Startup mission conducted Sanitation Design Challenge, the finals of which was conducted on 1st December 2018 at KSUM. Kochi
The IEEE Kochi Hub Women In Engineering Congress, SHE 2018 was held on 21st and 22nd of December, 2018 at Government Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara. The event saw a participation of 120+delegates from across the section, a vast majority of them being girls. This year, we had restructured the congress to better benefit the students by including effective programs like Industrial Visits and Peer-to-Peer learning sessions
The fourth version of Minerva, held this year, in contrast with the previous versions of the yesteryears witnessed a total change in its structure. The event was held as a single one for all zones with female delegates from colleges all over the Kochi hub and various disciplines and year of study. The prime focus of the one-day event was to not simple empower our girls but empower them technically. This change was a new introduction to the typical series of events being conducted and worked successfully with all delegates completely satisfied with the sessions and great feedback was given from their side.
ORE, the Technical Community of IEEE Kerala Section in association with IEEE Kochi Hub conducted Hack-Kochl, the first hackathon of the season on May 18th, 2019 at the Kerala Startup Mission on Machine Learning and Python The hackathon began at 10:30 am with a brief Introduction about the company by Mr. Jyothis K.5. My first IEEE event, I was so excited and my expectations were high. I met new people, new friends, gained new experiences and a lot more. Each day was different, each day had something new to learn. I found myself being so close to everyone, Im not such a person, but here in KHM it was totally changed, that vibe, energy that shared, my first experience make me love IEEE more. The group dynamics, the fun we had together, and the volunteer's, they were like one of us. Food, it's awesome. Most importantly The technical knowledge KHM shared through different workshops, its outstanding, I found it very useful. The event was a mix of tech with fun. Came to know about new kind of technologies that is evolving around us, how to use the simplest techniques in efficient manner, The tech side of KHM was my favourite in those 3 days
